            On the request of Most Rev.Dr.M.Devadass Ambrose, Bishop and President of The Diocese of Tanjore Society, and Manager of St.John De Britto College of Education. I have personally examined the particular land Document / Records pertaining to the following land.

After careful examination of the documents and satisfying myself, I certify that the above mentioned land is presently in the Name of Most Rev.Dr.M.Devadass Ambrose, Bishop and President of The Diocese of Tanjore Society and The Manager of St.John De Britto College of Education.

Affidavit filed by the Bishop and manager of the St.John De Britto College of Education.

I Dr.M.Devadass Ambrose, D.D., L.S.S., S.T.D., son of Mr. Mariadoss, the Bishop of Diocese of Thanjavur and Manager of the St.John De Britto College of Education, residing at the Bishop’s House, Door No.65/A, Post Box No.204, V.O.C. Nagar, Thanjavur Town, do hereby solemnly affirm and sincerely state as followed.

1. I am the Bishop and the President of the Diocese of Tanjore Society. I am the Manager of St.John De Britto College of Education.

1. In the year 1957, the then Bishop of Thanjavur had purchased the following land in Survey No.43 Ramaniyavanam, Madhakottai Village, Nanjikottai Vattam & Panchayath, Thanjavur Taluk under various Registered sale deeds registered in the Sub-Registars Office Thanjavur. This land is for the use of the College of Education.

1. The above land is in our possession and enjoyment. We have already constructed a Big multi storied Building.

1. Patta for the above land is in the name of the Bishop of Thanjavur who is the Manager of St.John De Britto College of Education and the Bishop of Thanjavur in Patta No.12.

1. As we are the owners in possession and enjoyment of the land we are entitled to use all the lands for the College of Education.

1. There is no Encumbrance in this land.

1. It is therefore just and necessary that the above Affidavit may be accepted and further orders may be passed.

Appendix – 1D

I, Most Rev.Dr.M.Devadass Ambrose, Trustee of the Diocese of Tanjore Society hereby undertake to comply with the following in connection with my / our application for grant of recognition of St.John De Britto College of Education from the session 2007 – 2008.

1. That infrastructural, instructional and other facilities will be provided as per the NCTE norms, standards and guidelines prescribed from time to time.

2. That admission of students, satisfying the eligibility conditions will be made either on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination or in the entrance examination conducted by the State Govt. / University as per its policy.

3. That there shall be reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/handicapped et. As per the Policy of State Govt.

4. That admission to the Course will be made only after recognition is granted by the concerned Regional Committee of the NCTE.

1. (a) That the full time staff will be appointed on regular basis as per the qualifications prescribed in the Norms and Standards through a reasonably wide advertisement and open selection on the basis of the recommendation of duly constituted Selection Committees.

(b) That the part time staff will be appointed as per the guidelines of the State Govt. / the affiliating University.

6. That the tuition and other fees will be charged at rates prescribed by the concerned state Govt. / affiliating University.

7. That the academic and other staff of the institutions (including part time staff) shall be paid such salary as may be prescribed by the concerned State Govt. / University from time to time.

8. That the Management shall discharge the statutory obligations relating to provident fund, pension, gratuity etc. in respect of all its employees.

9. That the Management will make adequate funds available for providing satisfactory facilities and for proper programme implementation.

10. That the Management shall maintain (i) an Endowment Fund of Rs. 5.00 laks (Rupees five laks only) to be operated jointly by the authorized representative of the Management and an officer of the concerned Regional Committee and (ii) a reserve fund equivalent to three months salary of the staff.

11. That the account of the institution will be properly maintained and audited annually be the audit authorities or a Chartered Accountant, and will be open for inspection.

12. That the Management will strictly follow all conditions and norms prescribed by NCTE from time to time, conduct the programme in all earnestness, and submit itself to inspection by the NCTE as required at any time.

13. In the even of non-compliance by Diocese of Tanjore Society with regard to the norms and standards any other condition laid down / prescribed by the NCTE or a body or a person authorized by it will be free to take all necessary measures for effecting withdrawal of its recognition or permission, without consideration of any other issue, and that all liabilities arising out of such a withdrawal would solely be that of the institution.

14. That the Management will not cause or allow discontinuation of the Corse in any year or for any batch, and that where compelled, it will seek the concurrence or NCTE for discontinuation on the completion of the year / batch.

15. That the Management has seen, studied and understood the norms and conditions stipulated by the NCTE for grant of recognition to the programme proposed and feels that they are satisfied, or can be satisfied by the time of inspection, failing which it would be willing to accept an unfavourable decision.

16. The (College / Institution) by virtue of the approval given by the NCTE shall not automatically become claimant of any financial grant or assistance from the Central or State Govt., or support from the NCTE.
